An exciting opportunity exists with Ngaanyatjarra Council Regional Housing Program (NCRHP) for a Contracts Administrator to join our team based in Perth. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated person who plays a crucial role in facilitating business transactions, managing risks, and ensuring that contracts are executed effectively and legally.

Your day-to-day duties will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Review contracts thoroughly to ensure accuracy, compliance with legal and organisational requirements, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Engage in contract negotiations with clients, vendors, or other parties to reach mutually beneficial terms and conditions.
  • Monitor contracts to ensure that all parties are meeting their contractual obligations, including compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify potential risks within contracts and develop strategies to mitigate them, protecting the organisation from legal disputes or financial losses.
  • Conduct regular contract audits to assess compliance and identify any areas of concern.
  • Oversee the execution of contracts, which may involve obtaining necessary signatures and approvals.
  • Ensure the execution of all required administrative requirements under each contract.
  • Manage contract renewals, extensions, or terminations in accordance with the contract terms and organisational goal.
  • Facilitate and document any changes or amendments to existing contracts.
  • In the event of contract disputes or breaches, manage the process outlined in each contract. Maintain records of contract disputes and resolutions, ensuring accurate documentation for legal purposes.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to each contract.
  • Evaluate the performance of contracts and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Development of major tender documents and processes and Co-ordinate the implementation of tender processes including but not limited to the writing and development of tender responses.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Demonstrated experience with Contracts Administration 
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills and time management skills
  • Capacity to work effectively within a small team
  • Familiarity with construction contracts, contract law, and project management principles.
  • Remote community experience
  • Government contract experience 
  • Exposure to Housing Maintenance or Construction, facilitation, and negotiation skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate sensitivities towards aboriginal culture.
