Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. The service provides 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services.
An exciting opportunity has become available for Registered Nurses to join the Day Surgery/Preadmission Clinic and Discharge Lounge. There are full time and part time assignments available which is rostered across Monday to Friday - morning and afternoon shifts. The position works collaboratively with patients, families, carers and multidisciplinary teams to provide safe, compassionate, person-centred health care. The successful incumbent will utilise effective team communication in the planning, implementation, assessment, and evaluation of patient care.
In this role, you will act as an advocate for the specific needs of all patients/clients and carers including those from the indigenous population or other multi-cultural groups providing appropriate care to the patient/client undergoing specialised procedures.
