Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. The service provides 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services.
A fantastic opportunity has opened up Registered Midwives to join the Hawkesbury District Hospital Maternity casual pool. You will work within a level four Maternity Services with Antenatal Clinic, Antenatal/Postnatal/Women's Health ward, Birth Unit and Special Care Nursery. Birthing from 34 weeks gestation with over 600 births per year. We encourage candidates to apply who hold a Post Graduate Midwifery qualification/experience.
The successful incumbent will ensure optimal outcomes for women and their families of the service through the promotion of best practice including the appropriate escalation of care. Will work collaboratively utilising effective team communication with members of the multidisciplinary health team in the planning, implementation, assessment and evaluation of patient care.
To maintain and promote a professional standard evidenced by ethical midwifery practice, adherence to the policies and procedures of the Nursing and Midwifery Service, NMBLHD and the appropriate legislation and statutory regulations.
