ABOUT living cities FOrum

Presented by the Naomi Milgrom Foundation, the Living Cities Forum is Australia’s flagship architecture and urban design event series. The Forum’s global program features cross-disciplinary speakers who share inspiring, innovative and actionable ideas to improve the cities of today and tomorrow.

ABOUT THE role

Supported by the Head of Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator will plan, create, distribute, and analyse campaigns across platforms for Naomi Milgrom Foundation’s initiatives, with a focus on the Living Cities Forum in September.

The successful candidate will have strong communications and copywriting skills, experience working across marketing campaigns, working knowledge of digital and social media platforms, and proven ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.


Key responsibilites

Assist in building the brand presence, reach and impact of the Living Cities Forum, working closely with the Head of Marketing & Communications, Living Cities Forum Producer and broader team.

  • Create, schedule, update and monitor content across the Living Cities Forum digital touchpoints - website (Squarespace) newsletter (MailChimp) and ticketing (Eventbrite)
  • Create, schedule, moderate and report on organic and paid social media content (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Youtube)
  • Assist the Head of Marketing and Communications and Producer in outreach and cross promotional plans to extend the reach of campaign content and meet ticket sales targets
  • Work with Head of Marketing and Communications on targeted media pitching and profiling opportunities for Living Cities Forum speakers
  • Analyse data to optimise the performance of content across owned and paid platforms
  • Coordinate the delivery of marketing benefits for Living Cities Forum partners
  • Coordinate media kits for Living Cities Forum, including photography, video and speaker assets
  • Coordinate post-event reporting for stakeholders with the Living Cities Forum Producer
  • Assist the Head of Marketing & Communications in leveraging first-party data to improve
  • Audience engagement and journeys (Salesforce CRM, Mail Chimp, Eventbrite)
  • Provide broader marketing and administrative support for the Naomi Milgrom Foundation’s
  • key initiatives and communication channels as required

essential skills

  • Relevant qualifications or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience.
  • Communications – demonstrated copywriting and content skills, with the ability to adapt communications for a range of audiences and platforms (website, social media, apps, newsletters, printed materials, reports)
  • Organisation and project coordination– demonstrated ability to plan and track progress on tasks in a fast-paced environment; take a proactive approach to work through and prioritise competing tasks and seek help when required.
  • Interpersonal skills and relationship building – establish and maintain relationships with people at all levels through clear, timely and proactive communications (written and verbal), share information and work towards team goals
  • Technical skills: Experience in and knowledge of digital marketing and social media platforms (Meta, Google, Mail Chimp, Squarespace) and demonstrated ability to adapt to new/changing software applications

Desirable skills

  • Prior experience with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Prior experience in Google Analytics or Meta Ads Manager
  • Experience in or knowledge of the arts, design, architecture
