About the role

NACCHO receives funding to manage the COVID-19 project which aims to build the capacity of our member ACCHOs to prepare for and respond to COVID-19. The Program Officer will contribute to our team’s efforts to provide coordination and implementation support to Members and Affiliates to achieve program outcomes.

We are seeking a motivated individual who:

• Has strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Has strong attention to detail and accuracy;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, demonstrating understanding and sensitivity to cross-cultural issues;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as a part of a hardworking and collaborative team;

Qualifications and experience required

• Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant work experience including, program/project experience and/or relevant work experience.
• Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples (not essential but highly desirable).
