The National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO) is the national peak body representing 148 Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs). ACCHOs deliver comprehensive primary health care to more than half of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples nationally. 

About the Role 

As the Program Manager, Mental Health, you will lead the delivery of NACCHO’s National Youth Wellbeing Campaign, working in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people to ensure their voices shape culturally appropriate and impactful outcomes. As part of a collaborative Mental Health Team, you will drive program delivery, manage key partnerships and contribute to improving social and emotional wellbeing for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Responsibilities of this role but not limited to: 

  • Lead the co-design and delivery and ongoing development of NACCHO’s National Youth Wellbeing Campaign
  • Build and maintain relationships with young people, ACCHOs, and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee campaign processes, timelines, approvals and reporting to government funders.
  • Contribute to broader social and emotional wellbeing and mental health policy, program delivery and advocacy, particularly relating to young people.

About You 

To succeed in this role, you will bring: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant health, social work or related field (highly desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with young people, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.
  • Experience managing external providers, consultants or campaign delivery.
  • Strong facilitation skills, including leading culturally safe and inclusive discussions.
  • Experience in program delivery, communications or stakeholder engagement.
