Have you ever considered sharing your home with someone with a disability? Then Homesharing might be for you.

My Place is an organisation that works in partnership with each person with a disability to pursue the lifestyle of their choice and to have individual needs met by people they choose and trust.

We are looking for respite homesharers interested in welcoming a person with a disability into their family home on a part time basis (approx. 3-4 days and nights per fortnight, including some weekends). We are seeking a respite homesharer located in Bunbury or surrounding areas.

If you can offer a supportive and inclusive home environment, create a sense of belonging, stability, wellbeing, and provide a safe and secure home, while offering personal and practical assistance to enable a person with disability to live a lifestyle of her choosing, we’d like to hear from you.

Previous experience supporting people with disabilities is desirable however not essential. A positive outlook, genuine caring nature and good communication skills are essential attributes.

All adults residing in the home to be shared must be willing to undertake a NDIS Worker Screening Check and complete the NDIS Worker Orientation Module. This role would suit an individual, a couple or a family with older children.
