This role reports to the Access Manager who is responsible for coordinating a range of programs and strategies within inclusion as stated within the new MCA Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Plan ("Plan").
Inclusion within the Plan covers 8 key objectives. This role will support the following three objectives:
- Continued commitment to Access programs and building partnerships, with a focus on Bella Programs and the Bella Room. Bella is a free program offered to people of all ages with disability and access requirements. The Bella Program was established in 1993 through the generosity of MCA patrons, Dr Edward Jackson AM and Mrs Cynthia Jackson AM, and the Jackson family, in memory of their late daughter and sister Belinda.
- Ongoing development of inclusive content for online and onsite audiences for identified Collection artworks.
- Ongoing development of inclusive content for MCA Touring.
Tasks and responsibilities of the position
- Coordinate the administration and delivery of Bella Programs for children, young people and adults with disability and access requirements.
- Support the Bella Room Commission and resource development.
- Maintain efficient project management processes including monitoring and controlling the Bella program budget in consultation with the Access Manager.
- Support marketing and audience development activity for Access Programs, including web updates, contributions to EDMS, blog posts and other marketing and promotional activity.
- Provide digital and administrative support regarding inclusive content for Collection and MCA Touring.
Key selection criteria
Essential criteria
Applicants must be able to demonstrate they have:
- Strong administration experience
- Experience using booking processes, coordination of resources and collation of statistics
- Experience coordinating programs, in particular programs for a range of audiences with access requirements
- A good level of computer literacy with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience working with web content management systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including written communication skills
- Effective time management and organisational skills, and the ability to exercise initiative
- A collaborative, professional and customer focused approach with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
- A current Working with Children Check (NSW).
Desirable criteria
It would be good if applicants have:
- Previous experience working with Ungerboeck.
