About the Role

The MUA is seeking applications for a Divisional Branch Organiser role in the Western Australia Branch, based in North Fremantle.

This role is pivotal in supporting members, driving campaigns, and growing union density across the region.

  • Salary: $125,000 - $135,000 plus 14% super, plus 6 weeks annual leave, plus 27.5% leave loading

As an MUA Organiser, you will work closely with members, delegates, and workplace leaders primarily in Fremantle and in Western Australia to advocate for fair conditions, resolve workplace issues, and build union strength. You will also play a key role in implementing strategic organising plans and engaging with communities to advance the interests of our members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with members and delegates.
  • Develop and implement organising strategies to grow membership and union influence.
  • Represent members in workplace disputes and negotiations.
  • Coordinate and lead campaigns on industrial and social issues.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant legislation.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in organising, advocacy, or industrial relations
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when required.
