Do you have experience with contract writing, budgeting, and reporting? Do you want to challenge yourself professionally and become a vital member of the Médecins Sans Frontières field team? Join us as a Médecins Sans Frontières Construction Manager.

The Role:

At any one time, around 3,500 international personnel contribute to a global team of over 40,000 Médecins Sans Frontières field staff who provide emergency medical care in around 70 countries each year. Australian and New Zealander professionals fill more than 200 field positions annually and construction managers are crucial to every Médecins Sans Frontières project.

Your role would include:

  • Using your engineering and trade skills to assist in site planning and construction
  • Working with suppliers to negotiate and procure building materials
  • Managing project budgets, contracts and reporting

You may also be responsible for interacting with local authorities and other organisations. Being able to manage large numbers of national staff or subcontractors is another important element of this essential role.

We are looking for people who have taken their time to consider that commitment and are prepared for a significant challenge.
