About the Role

Creating strong, lasting connections with donors and designing impactful direct marketing fundraising campaigns is at the heart of this role. As the Direct Marketing Specialist (Fundraising), you will lead the development and implementation of effective retention strategies for both cash donations and regular giving programs. You’ll design and manage multi-channel fundraising campaigns—focusing on a digital-first approach—to increase donor engagement and loyalty. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will use data-driven insights to optimise campaign performance and ensure sustainable growth in donor support. Your role is vital in creating meaningful donor experiences that strengthen long-term relationships and help MS Plus continue its important work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement retention strategies for cash donations and monthly giving programs.
  • Lead planning and execution of four annual appeal campaigns, managing creative assets, messaging, and donor engagement journeys.
  • Manage retention of regular donors through digital and telemarketing channels.
  • Analyse program performance and optimise campaign effectiveness using data insights.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver personalised and engaging donor experiences.
  • Ensure all fundraising activities comply with relevant regulations and industry best practices.

What You Bring

  • 2+ years in fundraising with proven success in coordinating direct marketing campaigns
  • Strong project management and communication skills, with ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Deep knowledge of fundraising trends, donor engagement strategies, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working within the social impact or disability sector is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with donor and data management technologies, and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • A passion for creating lasting donor relationships and delivering direct marketing campaigns that make a tangible impact.

One More Thing:

Successful candidates will need to complete a National Police Check (and possibly an International Police Check), need to have NDIS Clerance and Working with Children Clearance
