Council’s Community Futures Branch is seeking an enthusiastic person to fill the position of Environmental Sustainability Biodiversity Officer – R2178.

This role allows for flexible working arrangements and as part of the package, Council will also provide relocation assistance to help support a move to the region.

Position Objectives

The officer will be responsible for:

• The development and facilitation of natural area and wetland management and roadside conservation programs.
• Working with government agencies to develop partnership and funding opportunities.
• The development and facilitation of Council’s Roadside Weed and Rabbit Control Plan as per Legislative requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:

• Tertiary Qualification in Natural Resources or Environmental Management or equivalent.
• Substantial experience in the implementation of natural resource and environmental programs.
• Current Driver’s Licence. 
• Current Police Check or willing to obtain. 

Salary and Conditions

The position is classified within Band 6 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $85,983.04 to $93,722.72 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
