Professional and Community Engagement (PACE) is a University-wide initiative designed to provide undergraduate students with experiential learning opportunities with a range of local, regional and international partners. PACE units provide an academic framework through which students can engage with the community, learn through participation, develop their capabilities and build the skills valued by employers. A key objective of the University’s Learning and Teaching Strategic Framework (2015) is to expand experiential learning programs to further enhance the employability of Macquarie graduates. One of the key strategies to achieve this objective is the development and expansion of internship and other work-integrated learning opportunities and the Co-operative Education (Co-op) across undergraduate programs.
