Mosswood Wildlife is a dedicated not-for-profit organisation. We rescue, rehabilitate and release animals back where they belong – their natural habitat.

Our goal is to contribute to the preservation of Australia’s wildlife and natural environment.

We support the community, educate the public and build relationships to ensure no unnecessary harm comes to native animals.

Mosswood currently has no paid staff and volunteers are critical to the running of the facility.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Mosswood Wildlife is seeking a highly organised and motivated Administration and volunteer Coordinator to join our team. The coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organisation by providing administrative support and assistance.

Position overview

Volunteer Coordination:

  • Increase the number of volunteers, develop and maintain a recruitment program that will enlist more volunteers in the local area.
  • Establish and implement an international volunteer program that creates a steady recruitment of this valuable cohort of volunteers.
  • Develop a plan that acknowledges and encourages volunteers to learn and remain as a volunteer with the organisation.
  • Ensuring new volunteers are inducted into the organisation and supported by existing volunteers.
  • Coordinate volunteers to undertake the operational requirements of Mosswood Wildlife.

General Administration:

  • Manage and coordinate new and established members, supporters, and donors.
  • Organising market days and events that Mosswood attends.
  • Investigate the opportunity of establishing educational program into schools.
  • Assisting with delivering projects to agreed deadlines and budgets.
  • Work in conjunction with Mosswood Wildlife social media coordinator to present campaigns across multiple platforms.
  • Write and distribution quarterly newsletters for members and supporters.
  • Assist in addressing incoming email correspondence and support the Mosswood Wildlife secretary.

Grant Management:

  • Identifying grants applicable to Mosswood Wildlife, write, submit proposals and applications.
  • Ensure projects are meeting obligations, donor expectations and requirements.
  • Liaise with Mosswood Wildlife Treasurer on projects with agreed timelines, expenditure and budgets.
  • Liaise with Mosswood Wildlife Secretary on grant applications and proposals.
