This is a customer facing role, shaping customer experience on a day-to day basis. We are looking for a proactive people person that is willing to go above and beyond to provide memorable customer service.
Your day to day will involve the supervision and leadership of Library weekend staff, ensuring the library weekend team is providing a positive library experience for all customers.
Working hours are Saturday and Sunday, 9:30-4:00pm. One 5.5-hour shift will be completed Monday - Friday, and this day will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
To be successful in this role you will hold tertiary qualifications (university degree) in Library/Information Science and eligibility for professional membership of ALIA.
You will have demonstrated experience in delivering a wide variety of library services and bring thorough knowledge in understanding library events, processes and promotions.
In addition to the above, you will also hold a valid Covid-19 vaccination certificate and a Current Class C driver’s licence.
The position is identified as a Child-Related position under the Commission of Children and Young People Act 1998 and the successful candidate is required to hold a valid Working With Children Check
