Remote / Work from Home
Animals Asia is a progressive, dynamic, and global organisation making great advances in animal welfare predominantly in China and Vietnam, but with reach across Asia. In 1998, we set out with a primary goal of ending bear bile farming – a horrific trade that is arguably the world’s cruelest form of animal abuse. In 2017, the Vietnamese Government announced its partnership with Animals Asia to bring this to an end by 2022.
This year, we will be raising funds to build a new sanctuary in Vietnam so we can bring the last of the country’s bile bears home. There has never been a more exciting time to join the team and be part of this historic, rewarding journey. We are also at the forefront of ending elephant riding in Vietnam – a model which we hope can be rolled out across the rest of Asia.
Our fundraising team is equally progressive and exciting. You will be joining an exceptionally talented, passionate, and dedicated group of people and we have the ambition to match our potential. Last year, we raised a record breaking $20m globally but this is still only the tip of the iceberg – we could do so much more and investing in the right people to join our team is critical.
If you are experienced in delivering accurate, high quality data selections for marketing efforts and are excited to help make a real impact at Animals Asia, we would love to hear from you!
This new role will take ownership of data selections and facilitate the delivery of essential, fast-paced fundraising activities for our Global fundraising team throughout the year.
Maintenance of business as usual is critical, but there is also exciting potential to develop and shape our data segmentation and related processes as we continually move towards better ways of working. Therefore, this role would suit a more experienced data professional or someone keen to take the next step in their career.
We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with good CRM experience who are proactive, diligent, and eager to engage with a range of key stakeholders. Experience using SQL is desirable but not essential, providing there is a willingness to learn and develop in this area.
We are seeking a Data Selections Officer to create and deliver regular data selections for direct marketing efforts across email, mail, and telephone.
The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and be comfortable liaising with a range of colleagues across all departments in the Supporter Engagement Team.
Gauging and delivering data requirements carefully and efficiently, the role would also benefit from someone who can proactively identify and implement improvements more widely.
Working within the Data Team alongside and under the guidance of the Data and Insights Analyst, this is an exciting opportunity to enhance data-driven segmentation and help Animals Asia to deliver successful campaigns and achieve ambitious targets.
Specific skills and attitudes we are looking for in an applicant are as follows:
Animals Asia believes that freedom from discrimination and equality of opportunity are fundamental rights, and that each person should be valued regardless of age, race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, religion, or belief, medical (including HIV) status, and social class.
Animals Asia recognises that discrimination and victimisation is unacceptable and that it is in the interests of the Company and its employees to utilise the skills of the total workforce.
It is the aim of Animals Asia to ensure that no employee or job applicant receives less favourable facilities or treatment (either directly or indirectly) in recruitment or employment on grounds of age, disability, gender / gender reassignment, marriage / civil partnership, pregnancy / maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation (the protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010).
We will be interviewing candidates as we receive applications, so please do not hesitate to apply.
To find out more visit www.animalsasia.org.
Only shortlisted candidates will be notified. Applicants who have not received a reply after six weeks from the date of the advertisement should consider their applications unsuccessful.
