We have recently been successful in tendering to run the Mimili Family Wellbeing Centre. The service delivery model for the Centre is based on a co-location collaborative practice model. This model supports service providers to provide a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency suite of services whilst still operating as independent entities.
The Coordinator role is responsible for the day to day operations of the Centre in Mimili and for ensuring regular meetings are held between all service providers to address the Centre’s practical operations and promote the holistic culture of the Centre. The Coordinator will report to the Managing Director and will work with the Mimili Community Council to enable the alignment of the Mimili Wellbeing Centre with the priority needs of the local community.
You are resilient, calm and flexible and can adapt to consistently changing conditions at work. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder negotiations and develop relationships with people rapidly. Ideally, you have experience working with Aboriginal people, preferably in remote communities and experience leading a small team.
You have a true passion and desire for contributing to the wellbeing of remote communities. Along with a strong commitment to social justice, it's important you understand the balance involved when supporting and empowering individuals within the community.
While a vehicle is provided for work use, you will need to have your own reliable vehicle for personal use in, around and travelling to and from Mimili community.
