At Moorabbin Hospital we pride ourselves on the delivery of high quality patient and family centred care and strive for the best outcomes for our patients. Inpatient services provided at Moorabbin Hospital includes medical oncology and a range of elective surgical services including gynaecology, gynae-oncology, breast services, orthopaedics, urology, head and neck and ENT.

About Ward 1:

Decommissioned as an inpatient ward in late 2018, Ward 1 has been used for a range of outpatient procedural services. We will now be re-establishing Ward 1 as a 28 bed, inpatient General Medicine unit to provide holistic care for patients admitted with a range of general medical conditions through until their discharge home, or to another facility including aged care services.

To safely deliver care to our patients, we are recruiting Registered Nurses with a range of experience. The successful candidates will have demonstrated skills in an acute setting, providing excellent patient care. There are various opportunities available:

  • part time permanent, working across a rotating shift basis 24/7 - 0.4 EFT up to Full Time
  • permanent night duty, working across a rotating shift basis - 0.4 EFT up to Full Time

What You Bring:

To safely deliver care to our patients, we are recruiting Registered Nurses with a range of experience, ideally from an acute settling. The successful candidates will have demonstrated skills in providing excellent patient care

You are a dedicated nurse, passionate about providing excellent care and are committed to being an advocate for patients and their families. You can also demonstrate:

  • a genuine commitment to providing safe and best practice, quality care at all times
  • willingness to learn and develop skills required within a general medical setting
  • a caring and engaging manner
  • your ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Your inspiring approach will help you play a key role in helping us provide the best in patient and family centred care.

What you need:

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Australian working rights
  • Demonstrated acute nursing and/or general medicine experience (desirable)
  • commitment to advocate Monash Health's Strategic Guiding Principles
