Our Journey

Monash Health’s team supporting the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Program works with participants who have a disability to help them in their daily life, participate in the community and reach their personal goals. The NDIS program at Monash Health comprises of support coordination, allied health services for both children and adults. The NDIS team operates out of several Monash Health Community sites including Springvale, Cranbourne, and Pakenham, as well as within participants homes and providing supports within community facilities.

An opportunity to join this supportive, results driven team awaits on an ongoing, part time basis, working 3 days a week, Monday to Friday. This role will work across Cranbourne, Springvale, and Pakenham sites as well as supporting Clients in their homes. As such a valid driver’s licence is required, and access to a work vehicle is available.

A Day in the Life

As an experienced, enthusiastic Allied Health Assistant and working in consultation with the broader Allied Health team, you’ll provide participants with clinical assistance implementing therapy programs appropriate to their needs.

As well as working in a team, you’re also adapt at working autonomously, using initiative, and demonstrating flexibility to work across a broad range of therapeutic and program related activities contributing to the promotion of excellence and continuous improvement. Your attention to detail ensures that documentation, case notes and reports are completed timely and to required standards, and with your inclusive verbal communication style you naturally work with and support participants compassionately.

What you need

To be successful in this role you’ll bring:

  • Certificate IV Allied Health Assistant
  • Demonstrated experience in providing allied health services for individuals who have a disability.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of working in the NDIS environment
  • 2+ years experience working within in a disability / health-related field and / or paediatric, physical, or community based service
