About the role
Mind is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking leader to join our communications and marketing team as the Senior Manager, Marketing, Communications and Engagement (M&C). This pivotal role is a permanent full time opportunity with a flexible 4 day work week option to be considered. In this role you will spearhead the development and implementation of Mind's strategic internal and external communications plan, ensuring effective brand management, advocacy, and research functions through a variety of internal and external channels. With a focus on innovation and creativity, you will play a crucial role in shaping Mind's narrative and enhancing its visibility across diverse channels.
As part of People Experience, the Marketing & Communications Business Unit is responsible for managing three streams within the business:
- Marketing: includes managing a team which oversees brand management, collateral development, event and conference management and fundraising.
- Communications: oversees digital communications channels such as website, EDM and social media, and developing a new media outreach strategy.
- Customer Service: includes managing the Mind Connect team. Mind Connect involves: Centralised intake, After hours support, client file creation and relationship management, general enquiries, family and carer phone support and information and general customer service.
The above streams form an integral part of a renewed marketing communications strategy for which you will develop and lead implementation.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement a clearly articulated Marketing, Communications and Customer Service strategy that delivers Mind's proposition to its diverse target audiences.
- Develop and implement a proactive and responsive integrated media strategy that positions Mind as an available, credible and authoritative source on mental ill-health and enables advocacy across the sector.
- Manage internal communications strategy, including the All Staff webinar, and our primary internal communication to staff, Inside Mind.
- Oversee the Customer Service team to deliver a positive experience by effectively responding to internal demand, providing administrative support for relevant operational programs.
What you’ll bring
- Significant working experience in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or Health Promotion.
- A proven understanding of the connection between marketing and communications and the ability to demonstrate the connection in a clear and concise manner.
- Sound leadership skills to support a high functioning and professional team.
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Health Promotion or other related field.
- Strong commitment and the ability to build effective, contemporary communication strategies for mental health initiatives.
- High level computer literacy skills, contemporary social media skills as well as experience in website development and management.
- Highly effective interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication particularly to collaborate at the CEO and Executive level.
