About the role
The Gladstone Step Up Step Down is a purpose built facility short term (up to 28 days) voluntary 24-hour residential service for adults (18-64) who are experiencing mental ill health.
Customers might be transitioning from an acute hospital setting back into the community or already residing in the community but would benefit from some additional support to prevent a hospital admission.
Reporting to the Service Manager, your duties will include;
- Working a 24 hour rotating roster across all shifts which include days, evenings, weekends, nights, and sleepover shifts
- Working with customers to return to a place of residence and a meaningful life
- Working with families and carers at the time of transition back to community
Skills & experience
- Tertiary qualifications (minimum certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other health related field as designated by Mind.
- Experience working in a recovery oriented framework
- A positive attitude to the work
- Challenge yourself and others within the team
