About the role

The Practice Development Advisor will provide expert advice and leadership in implementing practice standards, driving knowledge transfer, and fostering continuous quality improvement across our organisation. This national role will focus on guiding and supporting operational teams in achieving best practice standards and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Practice Development Advisor for a permanent full time opportunity in the Burnley area. In this role, you will provide expert guidance to support workforce skills development and ensure knowledge transfer methods and models are embedded into service delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop skills and knowledge to provide specialist practice and quality support to staff within allocated service stream.
  • Build strong relationships with operational leaders across Mind to ensure developmental work is collaborative
  • Develop, deliver and evaluate a range of practice development projects and activities across the organisation that support best practice.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to Mind’s Quality Framework and the development of strategies to ensure that a culture of innovation and improvement is embedded in systems and processes.
  • In all work undertaken, ensure the voice of Lived Experience and Lived Expertise is elevated.

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Mental Health, AOD, Health, Social Policy, Social Science or other health-related field are required. Post-graduate tertiary qualifications in a relevant field are desirable.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safety and quality principles and systems in a health care setting
  • Demonstrated ability to support managers and staff to monitor, evaluate and improve services through an effective organisational practice governance approach and provision of tools, methods and resources relevant to the mental health sector.
  • Demonstrated success in supporting the design, management, implementation and evaluation of practice improvement projects or change management programs.
