About the role

The Human Resources (HR) Business Unit provides support services including workforce management and development, payroll and remuneration and workplace health, safety and wellbeing. HR provides strategies, business processes and systems to enable efficient and effective management of support services to ensure Mind is financially sustainable, safe and technologically enabled. The focus is to develop and support a flexible, sustainable and equitable workforce management model which is underpinned by the provision of consistent and timely services, processes, and information to managers and employees.

We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated Human Resources Partner for a permanent, fulltime opportunity in the Heidelberg area. You will provide HR business partnering services on a broad range of HR policies, programs and practices including expert advice, skill development and coaching to managers relating to people management matters as well as partnering with employees to implement HR deliverables tailored to needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of HR services, strategy and initiatives within a designated client group.
  • Work collaboratively with key business stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives.
  • Deliver timely advice based on relevant legislation, policies and contemporary HR practices.
  • Act as an internal consultant and change agent to support organisational priorities.
  • Develop, implement and support contemporary best practice people management policies, employee relations policies, procedures and practices.

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Psychology, Industrial Relations or other related field.
  • Proven experience working as a HR generalist within a complex organisational environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with all levels of management, coach and develop staff, and provide support in relation to HR policies and practices.
  • Understanding of and ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation, industrial instruments, policies and procedures.
  • Experience in providing expert advice and guidance on a range of HR issues and ability to work in a complex, changing environment.
