Mind Australia is one of the country’s leading community-managed specialist mental health service providers with a range of residential, mobile outreach, centre based and online services. We have been supporting people living with the day-to-day impacts of mental illness, as well as their families, friends and carers for over 40 years.
We provide practical and motivational support that helps people to develop the skills they need to move on, thrive and improve the quality of their lives. It’s an approach to mental health and wellbeing that looks at the whole person in the context of their daily life. Mind is committed to diversity and social inclusion.
The Housing & Accommodation Support Partnership/ Supported Independent Living (HASP SIL) program is a 24/7 residential service for people living independently with mental illness and supports clients with individualised services provided in line with their NDIS plan and unique needs. The program aims to promote greater self-management of mental and general health, increases access to the community and develops an individual’s capacity to live independently with a focus on achievement of their better life goals.
We are seeking self-motivated, resilient Community Mental Health Practitioners for casual opportunities to work on a 24/7 rotating roster in the Burnside area. You will provide support to clients to achieve their recovery goals through one-to-one support, facilitating peer learning workshops and assistance with daily tasks in a residential environment.
