Mind Blank are working alongside Carers NT to deliver creative arts based mental health programs for carers across the Top End in the second half of 2025.
Mind Blank Ltd is a charity in the mental health education sector, working to reduce the risk of suicide through a creative and preventative approach. For over 14 years we have been running our early intervention programs across schools, workplaces and in the community. In 2021 Founder & CEO Ally Kelly became a Suicide Prevention Australia award winner for her outstanding contribution to the sector. Carers NT is a non-profit, community based organisation dedicated to improving the lives of an estimated 30,000 unpaid family carers living across the Northern Territory. They work collaboratively with their partners to influence the development of policies and essential services in the NT. Operating from offices in Darwin, Howard Springs, Katherine, Alice Springs, Nhulunbuy and Ramingining their role is to achieve an improved quality of life for carers.
You’ll work as part of a professional creative team delivering interactive performances and mental health workshops to young people and adults. You might play a character, co-develop a workshop, facilitate group conversations, or help shape new storytelling projects.
This is a casual contractor role, suitable for those able to depict a broad range of ages, who can be available for short bursts of work throughout the year.
*This is a contractor engagement, program specific, with varied hours. Some availability fortnightly is desirable.
Creative Team members will actively participate in:
Workshop Facilitation - lead sessions and interaction with program attendees to ensure key program messages are delivered.
Conduct Role play - lead or participate in roleplay scenarios, following scripts and pre-designed systems and procedures.
Shared Events Logistic Responsibilities - ensure smooth logistics for program delivery, and ensure team members undertake duties in a safe working environment.
