The role

This position sits within the Water Planning & Assets department of the Infrastructure and Engineering Services Division and is responsible for providing professional administrative support across the Water Development & Assessment team. Key accountabilities and duties will include sending sewer drainage diagrams to customers, general correspondence, reports, agendas, minute taking, invoice / purchasing functions in Technology One, and maintaining data registers.

You will be an administrative and customer service professional who is able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders clearly, effectively and in a timely manner. You will have solid working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), high level digital literacy and data entry skills and posses strong self-awareness and interest in learning and expanding your skillset. You are outcome focused, have the ability to solve problems and can naturally build and maintain relationships which contribute to the achievement of organisational outcomes. You will also hold tertiary qualifications in Business / Administration or related certificate with demonstrated experience in an administrative / customer service role. Experience with Electronic Document Management Systems and mapping software would be desirable.

Salary

  • Base salary $61,800 p.a. - $68,000 p.a. (commencing salary will be negotiated with the successful candidate depending on qualifications, skills and experience)
  • Superannuation (11%)

Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.

Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
