Job Description

The Communications Team and Stakeholder Engagement Team develop, design, and manage internal and external communications for Micah Projects, including both traditional and digital communications. They assist across the organisation to coordinate major events, and work collaboratively with the community, businesses, schools, and philanthropists who share our vision to create equity and social justice.

This team provides guidance and support to the organisation with communication and engagement tools and advice and leads communication and engagement projects that have organisation-wide impact.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Communications and Content Coordinator to join our Communications Team. This role involves coordinating the end-to-end process of planning, drafting, editing, and publishing communication content across various channels, including print, digital, and partner platforms. The successful candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective communication that aligns with Micah Projects’ mission and values.

This is a fixed term full time employment opportunity with conditions and salary at Level 5 of the SCHADS Award.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate communication projects from concept to completion, including content strategies, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Develop and maintain content for Micah Projects’ owned and earned channels (social media, website, EDMs, etc.).
  • Produce high-quality copy for marketing and business purposes.
  • Ensure brand and style consistency across all public content.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to capture and share stories that reflect our work and impact.
  • Monitor and report on project and channel analytics.
  • Provide specialist advice in communication and content planning.

Essential Criteria:

  • Relevant qualification in Business/Communications or extensive experience in the field.
  • Minimum three years’ experience in communication content development and coordination.
  • Proficiency with Meta Business Suite, website CMS, EDM software, and digital analytical tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to cultural diversity and understanding of equity and WHS principles.
  • Ability to work flexibly and proactively in a team environment.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in the social and community services sector.
  • Skills in photography, basic design, and filming.
