Take your management skills to the next level in this newly created role at Miwatj Health. The Milingimbi Primary and Population Health Manager will be integral to the provision of operational and clinical services at this vital East Arnhem Land Health Centre. In addition to leading and managing an integrated interdisciplinary team of clinical and administrative staff, the Manager will support the Director of Nursing and Midwifery (DONM) to implement strategic directions, contemporary models of care and continuous quality improvement activities with a focus on change management, service integration and community engagement. This role is the perfect opportunity for an experienced Health Centre Manager looking to contribute to something bigger.

Miwatj Health is an independent Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Service. Established in 1992, we’re committed to securing quality health care services across the East Arnhem and enabling YolÅ‹u powered community health and wellbeing. Miwatj provides culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care to over 6,000 remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents across 3 East Arnhem wards. With a Head Office in Nhulunbuy, Miwatj also manages a Corporate Office in Darwin, 7 fixed clinics across the East Arnhem region.
The Milingimbi Primary and Population Health Care Manager must be a Registered Nurse, Health Professional and/or Practice Manager. Successful candidates will have an understanding of, and commitment to, Aboriginal Community Control, self-determination, and the issues faced by Yolŋu people living in remote settings. A minimum of five years demonstrated Senior Management experience is required, as is significant experience providing Primary Health Care across remote communities.
