Housing Officer

  • Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week)

The purpose of this role is primarily to help ensure that our tenants can sustain a positive tenancy. You will manage your own portfolio of tenancies and be the main point of contact for your tenants - dealing with their enquiries, concerns and grievances in accordance with our Customer Service Charter.

You will have skills and a background in property or tenancy management including arrears management, knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act and an understanding of the procedures of the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal. You will conduct home visits to monitor tenant well being and property care; generate work orders and liaise with our Asset team or with Real estate agents in relation to the timely completion of repairs and maintenance.

You will understand the principles of trauma-informed practice and be able to build relationships and rapport in order to create sustainable communities and tenancies and you will be experienced in dealing with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures and gender identities.
