About the opportunity

  • This is a position based at Mercy Hospital for Women, and encompasses a caseload across inpatient, outpatients and the Emergency Department. The team sits within the Social Work Department which encourages continued learning, the fostering of supportive collegiate relationships and promotes staff wellbeing, within a dynamic, fast-paced setting
  • This position is for a 7 day per fortnight Social Work role at Grade 2, with year to be determined
  • This position will form part of an integral multi-disciplinary team and will be required to provide highly responsive and flexible services to consumers while upholding a high level of professionalism and practicing within the core values of Mercy Health
  • Provision of clinical supervision and early career allied health education program to support professional development

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Sound knowledge of current evidence-based practices and a commitment to continuing development and research
  • Prior experience working in a hospital or women's and children's services is highly desirable
  • Adaptable, creative with a passion for patient focused care

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
