About the opportunity

The Cook in accordance with Department of Health and Mercy Health Service standards and requirements is responsible for the preparation, cooking and delivery of food services for patients, clients, residents (PCR), staff and other identified; to ensure the facility is cleaned and maintained in accordance with prescribed routines and in line with infection control guidelines. Able to adapt to other duties and changes when required. This position may entail shift work, weekend work and public holidays

  • Learn and process essential cooking techniques
  • Understand the ingredients you are working with the flavours, textures.
  • Follow recipes carefully and also learn to improvise and adjust based on available ingredients and taste.

You will also be required to provide evidence of:

  • Police Check
  • A Certificate in Commercial Cookery is mandatory
