MercyCare is seeking experienced Case Workers for the Family Wellbeing Support Service within our Youth and Homelessness department. We have full time position available until June 2021 with a view to extend based on funding.
As a Case Worker for the Family Wellbeing Support Service, you will provide an outreach service to children and young people aged 0-18 years and their family, which includes counselling in regard to school, home, relationships, mental health and wellbeing. We also provide advocacy and practical support to children, young people and their families. The successful applicant will maintain a caseload of clients, participating in the referral intake process and ensuring person-centred, client-driven principles are integrated as part of case plans. You will provide both one on one support, family support and group activities, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records and participating in events relevant to community needs.
To be considered for this role, you will have relevant qualifications in Human Services and demonstrated experience working with complex young people and their families.
