The Opportunity

Community Mental Health Practitioners and Peer Workers in the Early Intervention Psychosocial Support Response (EIPSR) program provide recovery oriented, strengths based outreach psychosocial support to people experiencing mental illness. Our team provides community based outreach and also works closely with Peninsula Health clinical mental health services to provide care coordination. Our team also supports eligible clients to apply for the National Disability Scheme. (NDIS).

This is a rewarding opportunity to support and empower individuals with mental health issues to live a meaningful life by strengthening self determination, identity, independence and hope.

The position is based in Frankston and supports clients living in the Mornington Peninsula, Bayside and Frankston areas.

About You

We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate people to join our dedicated team. Applicants must have experience in providing trauma informed and person centred practice to provide a framework for assessment and planning of services.

Required

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mental Health (Cert IV minimum), Social Work, Alcohol and Other Drug, Peer Work, Community Services, Psychology or Occupational Therapy.
  • 2 years minimum experience working in the mental health field.
  • Valid driver's licence
