Menslink has been supporting young men in the Canberra region for more than twenty years through our no-cost counselling, volunteer mentoring and education programs. In that time we have helped thousands of young guys aged ten to twenty-five get through tough or lonely times. We do that by helping young men make better choices and engage positively with society, reaching their full potential and become the great adult men they want to be.

We are look for a qualified male counsellor to join our team of experienced counsellors. You will have finished your counselling qualification and you will be registered with the ACA, PACFA or a similar body. You will ideally have a few years of counselling experience under your belt, but more importantly you will be a great fit with our organisation's values and culture. You need to have your Working With Vulnerable People card, a drivers licence and a vehicle.

In addition to your salary (SCHADS Level 5), you will be entitled to the charity salary sacrifice benefits that reduce the amount of tax that you pay (putting more money in your pocket). We provide all our employees with 2 hours of wellbeing time each week, and we can also provide a 12-month gym membership.

Given we work exclusively with male clients, we Menslink deem that being male is a genuine occupational qualification for the advertised position in accordance with Subsection 34(2)(i) of the Discrimination Act 1991 (and Section 30 of the Sex Discrimination Act 1984).

To apply, please send a one page pitch telling us about your counselling and life experience, your counselling philosophy, and why you want to work at Menslink. Please also send your up to date CV.
