Join RMH Mental Health’s Allied Health and Learning & Development team as the Occupational Therapy (OT) Research, Translation and Education Lead — a key role combining research leadership and workforce development to advance evidence-based OT practice and support clinician growth. This unique Grade 4 position combines research leadership with workforce education, driving the translation of research into meaningful clinical outcomes while fostering professional development across the service.

About the role:
- Lead the integration of research into OT practice across RMH Mental Health
- Drive workforce development through education, supervision, and graduate program support
- Collaborate with clinical teams to enhance evidence-based, consumer-centred care
- Build research capability and engagement within the OT workforce
- Strengthen partnerships with academic, professional, and community stakeholders
About you:
Formal Qualifications
- Occupational Therapists (must hold the relevant degree, registration, and/or membership as outlined in the attached Position Description)
Essential
- Minimum 10 years relevant clinical and/or leadership postgraduate experience
- Strong scientific writing, a growing publication record, and proven ability to secure research funding
- Expertise in data collection, management, statistical analysis, and use of research equipment
- Experience supervising students and exceptional time management, organisational, and communication skills
Desirable
- Completion and/or progress towards formal qualification at doctorate level
- Proven leadership in collaborative partnerships and research linkages at local, national, and international levels
- Demonstrated research impact, particularly influencing policy development
- Experience co-producing evidence-based initiatives with multidisciplinary teams, including OTs, consumers, carers, and healthcare professionals
