About The Royal Melbourne Hospital

The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) part of the Parkville Precinct and is one of Australia's leading public hospitals, providing a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services, as well as rehabilitation, aged care, specialist clinics and community programs.

RMH is seeking an enthusiastic organised cardiac nurse to work on the CH-FIT Study, a multi-centre study looking at the benefits of exercise and exercise programs in people with congenital heart disease. Working with an exercise physiologist as well as the Sydney coordinating centre, research cardiologists and the congenital cardiac Fellow at RMH, your role will include patient recruitment, organising tests and facilitating the day to day progress of the study. In addition, data entry into Redcap will be involved.

About the role

  • Patient recruitment including telephone screening.
  • Entering Red cap participant information
  • Participant testing and assessment scheduling on site
  • Assisting exercise physiologist when required
  • Supporting governance and ethics updates/ requirements

About you

  • Registered Nurse under AHPRA
  • Cardiac Post Graduate Certificate or equivalent

Essential:

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary team
  • Relevant computer/software skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable:

  • Clinical trials experience
  • Experience with Redcap
