The Melbourne City Mission Youth Refuges program provides 24-hour accommodation and support to young people experiencing homelessness.
The service provides accommodation, support, counselling, information and assistance to young people based on their needs (eg Centrelink, health and legal services) and support in finding suitable accommodation options.
This role forms part of the Division's Leadership Team. The position will oversee the day to day program operations of the team and work in collaboration with managers to ensure that staff and young people are well supported and that great outcomes are achieved.
The role provides oversight, leadership. supervision and direction for the team and program, and is responsible for ensuring program delivery is of a high standard.
The role will be responsible for supporting the move from our Footscray site to Werribee and the implementation of working in a new purpose built refuge.
The role involves after-hours on call duties (approximately 1 week in 10).
