What will you do?

Be part of a vibrant transdisciplinary team working with children from birth to 7 years who have developmental delay or disability, and their families. Work in a variety of settings where no two days are the same, you set your own schedule. Work under a Trauma Informed Healing Orientated Framework in an organisation that values wellbeing for all.

Your role:

  • Provide play-based therapeutic services focused on child and family goals delivered universal services for children aged 0-7yrs
  • Utilise skills and knowledge in occupational therapy to provide high quality, goal driven, evidence-based, family-centred programs
  • Complete assessments to guide skill based therapy in the areas of fine/gross motor, sensory processing, emotional regulation and equipment needs.
  • Demonstrate occupational therapy specific competencies in understanding and analysing the ability of the child in the areas of fine and gross motor, sensory processing, self-care, emotional regulation and equipment needs
  • Use your discipline specific knowledge to provide consultations and work collaboratively with our other therapists
  • Integrate telepractice into your service delivery where appropriate
  • Be proactive in your learning by participating in Monthly supervision, Monthly Communities of Practice and generous Professional Development budget- specialise in your areas of interest
  • Be part of a team, whilst managing your own schedule and flexible working arrangements.

Essential Criteria

  • A tertiary qualification occupational therapy and current registration
  • Ability to work collaboratively with your team
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently, to implement effective caseload management strategies
  • Knowledge of the NDIS and ability to work within a billable model
  • Working with Children Check
  • NDIS worker screening check
  • Drivers license and comprehensively insured motor vehicle.
  • Travel within the northern suburbs or western suburbs

We offer a competitive remuneration package including an attractive salary, access to tax-effective NFP salary packaging arrangements (which equates to $15,900) and supportive work/life balance provisions. MCM recognises the importance of investing in the training, learning and development of our employees, including a budget of $1000 pro rata of PD training each year.
