mecwacare is currently seeking an enthusiastic, casual Allied Health Assistant to join our growing team. You will be responsible for aiding allied health professionals in therapeutic interventions and program delivery, including group programs and activities, coordinating gym and pool facilities and staffing, membership promotion, case management support, health promotion participation and new staff orientation. Our Allied Health Assistants work closely with clients, allied health professionals and centre management.

What you bring:

  • Experience working in the Allied Health Services Sector
  • Passion for supporting clients to reach their health and wellbeing goals
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills including experience liaising with a wide range of individuals with varying capacity and needs
  • Attention to detail, well developed prioritisation and organisational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Strong customer service skills both in person and over the phone
  • Accurate documentation management
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in all matters
  • Certificate IV in Allied health Assistant or Equivalent
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current National Police Check
  • Confirmation of health worker vaccination compliance
  • Life Savers Certificate (2 day on-line & F2F course)
