We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Antimicrobials Group at MCRI as a Research Coordinator. Reporting directly to A/PRof Amanda Gwee, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our research projects. You will be responsible for project management, budget oversight, grant applications, staff training, and ensuring the smooth conduct of our studies at national and international sites.

This role is offered on a 12 month contract at 0.6 FTE (22.8 hours per week) 3 days per week.

Your responsibilities include:

• Writing study protocols, ethics submissions, and reports
• Developing study materials and conducting training sessions
• Maintaining study documents and ensuring compliance with SOPs
• Coordinating sample collection, storage, and processing
• Leading team meetings and setting targets for study completion
• Supervising research staff and students
• Prepare ethics applications and reports
• Contribute to grant applications and preparation of progress reports

What we need from you:

• Degree/Honours qualification in Science or related field OR relevant experience
• Expertise in project coordination and management
• Strong data management and analysis skills
• Experience in research planning and conduct
• Demonstrated ability to manage a team
