This diverse and rewarding position offers the opportunity to work across our full testing portfolio, including:

  • Clinical exome and whole genome sequencing
  • Mitochondrial genome testing
  • Prenatal diagnostic testing
  • Cytogenetic and molecular genetic tests

You will support a broad range of operational and liaison activities, from responding to clinical enquiries and managing patient data to improving internal processes and contributing to educational resources.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide responsive, expert customer service via dedicated genomics enquiry channels
  • Liaise with clinicians to gather clinical information and ensure accurate test referrals
  • Support the coordination of patient data across laboratory and clinical teams
  • Contribute to the development of resources for referrers and patients
  • Help monitor and analyse referral trends to improve service delivery
  • Participate in educational activities and continuous service improvement

What we need from you

  • Bachelor of Science with Honours (Genetics) / Bachelor of Biomedicine with Honours (Genetics) or equivalent
  • Graduates of the Master of Genomics and Health are encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge and understanding of genetic counselling, including medical, genetic and psychosocial aspects, however, please note this is not a traditional clinical genetic counselling role within the clinic.
  • Experience with communicating with health professionals regarding their patients’ needs would be an advantage.
  • Work with sensitivity to one’s own values and those of others.
