We have an exciting new opportunity for a motivated and experienced Clinical Advisor to join our growing team and oversee our Home and Community Care Services across Southeast Queensland and Northern New South Wales. This role requires a solid understanding of Home Care Packages, Commonwealth Home Support Programme, Dementia, and End of Life Care.
We’re seeking a Clinical Advisor who is proactive, detail-oriented, and personable individual to ensure the best experience for both our staff and customers. The role will be supporting, and mentoring a multidisciplinary team of experts and care workers to deliver the highest quality service to our customers from Tweed up to Sunshine Coast.
YOUR responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and delivery of resources, industry updates and upskilling to support delivery of evidence-based best practice in Home and Community Care, NDIS, and Community services.
- Provide clinical content, input and review to the design and delivery of resources and training to ensure services are clinically sound. Contribute to the development of a Clinical Framework, relevant accreditations, and quality assurance as per relevant standards.
- Work with the Leadership Team on specific projects and organisational changes, such as, quality improvement initiatives, new workflows, and ensure sustainable growth of our clinical services in alignment with organisational strategic initiatives.
- Develop training or tool-box sessions on current clinical approaches in Aged Care, NDIS, and Community Services to support the organisation to encourage enhancement in service practice and delivery.
- Promote and maintain a culture of continuous quality improvement across the workforce and with inclusive service responses in consideration for CALD communities and clients.
- Maintain professional certification and accreditation, and undertake professional practice, professional development and/or research in order to maintain currency in existing skills and knowledge, and to maintain currency of knowledge with new developments across relevant industries.
- Practice in accordance with relevant standards and ensure maintenance of self-development tools including supervision and reflective practice with a relevant source.
- Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer
- Supervising Clinical Staff and working with the team to maintain compliance
- Supporting relationships with both internal and external stakeholders including health professionals
About YOU:
- Must hold a degree level Allied Health qualification or Nursing degree
- Must hold an AHPRA registration or registration to a professional registration.
- Must have 3 years’ experience in a clinical nursing position or experience within a community support-based company
- Must hold a current Driver’s License
- Must hold a current National Police Certificate or have the ability to obtain one.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and stakeholders
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve
- Knowledge and/or experience of working in the community with seniors care sector
- Experience and/or interest in working in a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse environment
