Overview of Position

We are looking for a Physiotherapist who has a proven client outcome performance track record to join our experienced and enthusiastic allied health team in Northwest and Southwest Sydney. Our Team has a strong presence within the community, building up an excellent reputation of delivering excellent outcomes for children. This will be a rewarding role for the right person as it will be a role in which the individual can help introduce the service to our current Speech and Occupational Therapy Team. You will have experience and interest in working with children, especially in the 0-7 age range. We will work with you to tailor a caseload that best suits your clinical and career areas of interest and be able to provide you with a variety of scope in your caseload.

About the role

  • On the clinical side, demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain a caseload. This will include assessing and providing appropriate treatment plans, mainly for our paediatric and early childhood client list.
  • Monday to Friday-Flexible days and hours
  • A portion of the working week will be community based as well as in-clinic. We will work with you on designing an appropriate timetable.

  • Assist in the process of developing a strong referral network to broaden our community outreach.
  • Willingness to liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure continuity of care and support needs of our participants.
  • Creating a safe and relaxed environment where clients feel comfortable.
  • At least two years’ experience working as an accredited Physiotherapist.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience working in early childhood caseloads.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • A willingness to understand and fulfil McCall Gardens' Vision, Mission, Values.
  • Sound organisation and time management skills.
  • A practical approach to problem-solving, decision making and balancing priorities.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development within both work time and personal time, including maintaining up to date knowledge of evidence-based practice.

About you

As a positive role model with a can-do attitude, you will have a high degree of initiative and strong desire to achieve outstanding results for your clients. Ideally, you will have:

  • Have an understanding of the NDIS, including a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children and their families/carers.
  • Willingness to liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure continuity of care and support needs of our participants.

Essential Criteria

  • Recognised Qualifications in Physiotherapy
  • Current registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Eligible for registration for Medicare provider number and willingness to deliver Medicare funded services.
  • Paediatric and early childhood caseload experience
  • NDIS experience is highly regarded.
  • Current drivers’ license

  • $100-$120k + super + 3k Travel allowance + PD allowance.
