The role

Guided by Council’s Climate Change Strategy, this role leads Councils response to climate change by:

• influencing and supporting teams to deliver on Councils commitment to climate action
• providing advice and direction on Council and Government policies
• researching and providing advice on technology and practices to support Council’s climate change goals
• identifying and seeking funding opportunities and partnerships for climate change projects
• preparing briefing papers and reports for Executive and Council

Our ideal candidate

To be successful in this role you will have:

• relevant experience and qualifications in environmental or climate science or similar
• skills in community engagement and consultation and developing strong community partnerships and strategic alliances.
• experience in the development and implementation of project, strategic and action plans
• a current drivers licence and Employee Working with Children Check
