Mary Ward International (MWI) is the aid and development organisation of the Loreto Sisters of Australia and South East Asia, working in Australia and across nine countries. Reporting to the Board Chair and the MWI Board, this hands-on role is responsible for developing and maintaining the effectiveness, strategic direction and sustainability of MWI. Broadening the financial and donor base will be a major focus in the short to medium term.
The major areas of responsibility are:
You have held hands-on leadership positions in aid and development agencies (that are ideally ACFID accredited) or like-minded institutions and a deep understanding of best practices in relation to program creation and delivery in a national and international environment. Crucially, you have experience in fundraising as a manager, program leader or fundraising director. You will have previous experience working with a board and multiple external stakeholders, preferably in a faith-based organisation. Specifically, you can demonstrate experience in:
