Summary

The Medicare Mental Health Kids Hub is an early intervention service designed to support children aged 0–12 years and their families and caregivers. Through a dedicated multidisciplinary team, the Hub will deliver a broad range of evidence-informed supports, including therapeutic interventions, group programs, parenting support, peer and family support, cognitive assessments, and outreach services, tailored to meet the needs of children and families.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee service delivery on a daily basis according to the requirements of the contract and program guidelines.
  • Ensure the program meets the outcomes and KPIs identified in the contract.
  • Manage budgeting requirements for the program including submitting purchase orders and invoices for acquittal.
  • Complete progress and performance reports on time (as per contract) and participate in regular status meetings.
  • Conduct annual planning day.
  • Attend contract meetings.
  • Manage feedback and complaints.
  • Facilitate engagement in program evaluation activities.
  • Review and analyse program data to inform quality improvement.
  • Develop service plans in line with contract requirements.
  • Stakeholder engagement.
  • Opportunity to maintain a small clinicial caseload.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing or Occupational Therapy and full registration as a Psychologist through AHPRA, Mental Health Accredited Social Worker, Mental Health Nurse or Mental Health Occupational Therapist.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering therapy to adults, youth and children with mental health concerns.
  • Commitment to and proficiency delivering evidence-based practice.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to supervise, develop and manage a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable:

  • At least 3 years of management experience within a clinical team.
