MCC is a community based, not for profit, community support organisation. MCC is located in Mareeba and has been providing services within the Mareeba Shire Council area since commencing operation in 1991. MCC delivers various government funded quality services including: Neighbourhood Centre/Community Support, Intensive Family Support, Family and Child Connect, Secondary Family Support, Youth Connections, Emergency Relief, Myndkind, Community Transport, Social Prescribing and No Interest Loan Scheme. Tasks & responsibilities
- Effective Engagement - Provide practical out of office and/or centre-based support in areas identified in case plans, such as parenting skills, basic life skills, mitigating risk and engaging caregivers/parents in difficult conversations in order to keep children safe within their home environment.
- Strategic Case Management - Completing risk assessments, developing robust case plans that are strengths based and outcomes focussed, engaging in case coordination, maintaining accurate, up to date and appropriate client records, to name a few.
- Meeting Service Deliverables and Performance Measures - Ensuring that service deliverables are being met, including meeting contact hours and achieving desired outcomes as per case plan goals. Accurately recording data and being able to report on this data.
- Interpersonal skills - Working with Indigenous People: Interact and communicate in a culturally appropriate way with Indigenous families and individuals. Undertake cultural awareness training each year, function well as a member of the MCC team & work collaboratively with other agencies

Qualifications & experience
- Tertiary qualifications in human services or other relevant industry (minimum university degree)
- Experience working with Indigenous people, family support or similar, experience working with families experiencing domestic violence, with mental health issues and with substance abuse issues.
- Working with Children Blue Card, ability to obtain required First Aid and CPR qualifications and unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence and own reliable transport
