The Opportunity
Maple Community Services currently have an exciting opportunity for you to join the team as a Support Worker in and around Keilor, Victoria.
We are seeking passionate, empathetic and dedicated individuals in providing supports to our participates. It will require engaging in social activities, interacting with participants and overall ensuring their safely and well-being.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Community participation: accompanying participants on outings, appointments and social engagements
- Personal care: personal hygiene, dressing, medication, showering
- Assistance at home: meal preparation and housekeeping
- Transporting participants to their required destinations
- Submit progress notes for every shift, following the template provided
- Building rapport and providing amazing services
- Assist in participants goals and aspirations
Requirements:
- Preferred certificate in either Mental Health, Disability and/or Individual Support
- Minimum 1 year experience in 1:1 Mental Health and Personal Care support work
- Able to work unsupervised and part of a team
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Flexible in terms of hours and needs
- Positive attitude and takes initiative
- Exhibits high levels on common sense
- Drivers licence and own form of transport with vehicle insurance
- CURRENT Police Check, WWC Check, First Aid & CPR and ABN
