The Opportunity
We have exciting opportunity for a passionate Program Manager to join our dedicated Not-For-Profit organisation in Mildura.
This position will operate within our Sexual Assault and Therapeutic Family Violence Services Team and report directly to the Executive Manager Client Services.
As the Program Manager, you will directly supervise the Team Leaders of the Sexual Assault, Healing Services and Therapeutic Family Violence Services and oversee the Sexual Assault and Therapeutic Family Violence programs.
About the Role
This position will be primarily responsible for the provision of operational leadership to a diverse, multi-disciplinary team. You will oversee the day-to-day operations and management of the Sexual Assault and Therapeutic Family Violence Programs in line with service budgetary deliverables and ensuring the provision of high-quality services.
You will provide operational input to systems and organisational improvements and participate in external stakeholder partnerships and networks.
This role also drives implementation of LGBTIQ+ and other cultural inclusion initiatives as required.

Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Oversee the effective day-to-day operations of the Sexual Assault and Therapeutic Family Violence Programs, including a number of regional programs.
- Provide leadership, supervision and direction to ensure a strong, cohesive and high functioning team, positive staff morale, effective teamwork, professional development and the wellbeing of a multi-disciplinary team, including the maintenance of professional standards of practice.
- Monitor and support the delivery of high quality services to a vulnerable client group – victim survivors of family and sexual violence.
- Model and establish strong collaboration within and across teams at MSAU-MDVS.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of quality partnerships with key agencies across the Mallee.
- Participate in the embedding of family violence and sexual assault state-wide reform initiatives across the service.
- Prepare the program budget work and maintain accountability for the program budget and implement corrective action as required
About you
Your specialist expertise and experience should include:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or the equivalent (essential)
- Extensive experience in the community services sector, sexual violence sector and/or family violence sector, that includes managing complex case management workloads.
- Experience in leading and managing staff in a community services field.
- Demonstrated experience to problem solve, encourage, and influence change within a team.
- Demonstrated experience in providing clinical supervision and mentoring of staff.
- Knowledge of key legislative and policy frameworks and practice relevant to sexual and family violence, including but not limited to trauma informed frameworks, sexual violence risk assessment, family violence risk assessment and management framework and child centred inclusive practice, including interpretation and conversion into operational processes.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in advancing external partnerships, with service providers and other stakeholders to enhance support pathways for clients and build sector capacity.
- Demonstrated experience and capabilities in client assessment and risk management, crisis intervention and case management.
- Demonstrated capacity to apply theoretical frameworks to practice.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate and confidential case notes
