Join us and be part of Victoria’s Big Build, working within the award-winning Level Crossing Removal Project. We’ve already removed some of Victoria’s most dangerous level crossings, and we’re not stopping any time soon with work to last us until at least 2030. There has never been a better time to get amongst the action!

About the role

Our Leadership, Capability & Diversity team are looking for a Senior Diversity Adviser to join our reputable People & Culture (P&C) team.

The 12-month, job share opportunity (3 days per week) is ready for someone who is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I).

As the Senior Diversity Adviser, you will be responsible for the successful implementation of P&C programs and initiatives, in particular influencing stakeholders and bringing them along on the DE&I journey.

On a day-to-day basis, you will find yourself:

  • Supporting the implementation of the MOSAIC DE&I strategy, MTIA Gender Equality Action Plan and DTP Women in Transport strategy.
  • Managing a project meeting for a DE&I initiative that you are leading.
  • Working closely with your colleagues and key stakeholders to identify DE&I issues, risks, and opportunities.
  • Managing inclusive pathway programs and supporting managers and participants
  • Managing the Mosaic Leading Through Diversity sponsorship program and close partnership with Rail Projects Victoria and Major Roads Project Victoria
  • Planning and leading the implementation of internal events and initiatives to build awareness of our DE&I priorities.
  • Exploring opportunities to build greater DE&I awareness and capabilities of our employees and people leaders.

We like to work together when it makes sense, so when working from the office you will find yourself in workshops, brainstorms, and real life catch ups with people as you build rapport with your key stakeholders across the business and within the industry.

You will be reporting to Winnie Wong (Diversity Lead) who has 13 years of experience working in HR (within both the public and private sectors) in a variety of areas including, recruitment, employment programs, change management, organisational development and diversity and inclusion. Winnie describes her leadership style as collaborative and supportive and allows her team to do their best work by building their capabilities and empowering them to lead initiatives.

Winnie values ideas, improvement suggestions and new ways of doing things – you will learn a lot from her!

You’ll be part of a passionate group of people who love what they do and work hard to achieve projects goals, but also ensure they have some fun, don’t take themselves too seriously and celebrate the wins! The team itself is a fun and energetic bunch that love to bond over food and stories about their pets!

We understand the importance of work-life balance, and we are committed to providing our team members with the resources and support they need to achieve their professional goals while maintaining a healthy and fulfilling personal life.

This is a job share position (3 days per week). We work in a hybrid capacity, so over those 3 days you will work a mix of office and home. The team’s anchor day is Wednesday with a second office day being either on a Tuesday or Thursday. We also offer our staff flexible start and finish times, and are committed to make work, work for you!

Our office is based in the Melbourne CBD, and the office environment is lively, collaborative, and exciting.

This is a 12-month fixed term position, paying a salary between $106,534 and $128,897 + superannuation (pro rata).
